Frequently asked questions about Hippoly
Here are the answers to what boards most often ask before moving to a digital board portal.
Primarily the Swedish Companies Act and GDPR. Hippoly is built to support both through encryption, access control and full traceability of who has read, changed and signed what.
It takes a few minutes. Create an account, invite your board members by email and upload your documents or create your first agenda. Everything is cloud-based – nothing to install.
Hippoly has a fixed price model per board – the price is not affected by how many members you are. There is a free tier you can use for as long as you like, with a limit on data volume.
Two things differ. External board members get started straight away with BankID, without needing an account in the company's IT environment. And the board's material sits separately from the rest of the business, so it is not accessible to the company's IT administrators.
All information is encrypted both in transit and at rest, with customer-unique encryption keys and separated databases. Login uses BankID or two-factor authentication, and all access is logged. Data is stored within the EU and the environment is audited by an external party.
Yes. Signing with advanced methods such as BankID is legally binding under the eIDAS Regulation. Minutes and agreements are signed directly in the portal and archived together with their supporting documents.
NVR keeps track of the owners, the shares and the cap table. Hippoly pulls that information in so the board sees the company's digital share register directly in the portal. You get one connected flow from ownership structure to decisions, minutes and archive – with no duplicate work.
A board portal is a digital tool that brings all of the board's work together in one place. You store documents securely, send notices, build agendas, write minutes, log decisions and e-sign – without anything ending up in inboxes or scattered folders.
NVR and Hippoly – together for stronger corporate governance.
