A CSD register (Swedish: avstämningsregister) is the register kept by a central securities depository, in Sweden Euroclear Sweden, which serves as the share ledger in a CSD-registered company. The shares are then held in book-entry form, and ownership is shown in securities accounts (VP accounts) instead of by share certificates.
The vast majority of Swedish limited companies are not CSD-registered. They are non-CSD companies (kupongbolag) and keep their own share ledger. NVR's digital share ledger is designed for these companies, not for CSD-registered companies.
