A listed company (Swedish: börsbolag), in the Swedish Companies Act called a stock market company (aktiemarknadsbolag), is a public limited company whose shares are traded on a regulated market such as Nasdaq Stockholm. It gets there through a stock market listing and must then follow special disclosure rules.
A listed company is in practice a CSD-registered company, whose share ledger is kept by Euroclear Sweden. By contrast, in companies with unlisted shares the board itself is responsible for the share ledger.

A public limited company may offer its shares to the public and can be listed on an exchange.
