Registration in the share ledger (Swedish: införing i aktieboken) is when an owner or change is recorded in the company's share ledger. When someone presents a share certificate or otherwise proves an acquisition, the entry must be made without delay and dated, see entry date.
The share ledger shows whom the company treats as a shareholder, for example for dividends and general meetings. A delayed or missing entry makes the ownership picture uncertain.
