The subscription price, also known as the issue price (Swedish: teckningskurs or emissionskurs), is the price paid for each new share in a new share issue. It is set in the issue resolution and determines the capital raised and the implied valuation.
An issue changes the number of shares and owners' stakes. A lower price means more shares for the same amount and greater dilution for owners who do not take part. The new shares should be documented in the share ledger and cap table.

A new share issue is when a limited company issues new shares for payment to increase its capital.
