A secondary market (Swedish: andrahandsmarknad) is where securities that have already been issued change hands. The company receives no new money in these trades, unlike on the primary market, where new shares are issued in a share issue.
For unlisted shares, trading usually takes place directly between buyer and seller. Each transfer of shares must then be entered in the share ledger, so that it is always clear who owns the shares after the transaction.

A primary market is the market where new securities are sold for the first time, directly from the issuer.
